Homes for Sale in Seattle

To be sure, home buyers in the Seattle have a wide array of fabulous home options across a broad price range, when searching for homes for sale in Seattle or Seattle's East Side.  There is actually too much to tell you here, but we'll give you an idea as we talk about a few neighborhoods and price points you may see.

Wedgwood is an interesting neighborhood in Seattle with a mix of new construction and quaint cottages and Cape Cods from the 1920’s and ‘30’s that have been expertly refurbished, yet retain their charming personalities.  You may expect to find listings here from the high $600,000 to just over $1 million.  These homes generally range from 1,200 to over 1,500 in historic homes, but square footage will be slightly larger, up to 3,100 square feet, in new construction.

The price point from $800-$900,000 as an example is a varied one and offers buyers a lot of options, whether they’re searching for location, view or square footage.  New construction is available in neighborhoods like Columbia City and Seward Park, generally in the modern or Northwest Contemporary style, typically with at least 2,500 square feet and 3 or 4 bedrooms with at least two baths.  Areas like Lincoln Park and Alki offer locations near the water with sweeping views of the Sound and present older homes with tons of character and established landscaping.  Homes in this area typically have 3-5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a range of probable square footage from just under 2,000 to over 3,500 square feet.

Luxury Homes in Seattle

Buyers searching for luxury custom homes in Seattle have several options above the $1 million mark.  In Capitol Hill, you’ll likely find grand homes and estates that are historic, yet beautifully designed and appointed for today’s demands and lifestyles, priced from $2-$15 million.  Five bedrooms or more are common and square footage could be as vast as 12,000 square feet.  Views of Lake Union, Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains are fabulous from this neighborhood.

Seattle Condominiums

Seattle condominiums span the spectrum from efficiently arranged units less than 1,000 square feet in communities like Burien and Pioneer Square to more lavishly appointed buildings with floorplans over 2,000 square feet in a range from just over $100,000 to close to $1 million.  Some units provide opulence in the interior finishes, some have opulent views of the skyline, lake, mountains, or bay, and select condos offer both.  Luxury condo buildings above $2 million in areas like Belltown provide lux accommodations and amenities and typically cover over 3,000 square feet. 

With the available inventory, buyers searching for condominiums are sure to find the right fit in location, price, and floor plan.
