Newcastle Homes for Sale

While some single family homes may sometimes be found under $500,000, listings become more widely available starting at the mid-$600,000’s.  From about $640,000 to $1.25 million, there is a wide range of home age, updates, property features, and home styles.  Some homes have been built in the mid-1950’s, yet have been updated to reflect open floor plans, large kitchen, and spacious bedrooms.  You may even find some that are comfortably move-in ready, but could be updated as you go along.  Newer homes in this price range include styles like 2-story craftsman with basement ranging from as much as 3,000 to over 4,500 square feet, conceivably with 4-5 bedrooms and over three bathrooms.  At this square footage and age of home, you can expect to find elements such as gas fireplaces, vaulted ceilingss, island kitchens with granite and stainless appliances, perhaps a bonus room, and multi-car garages.

Newcastle Condos

Although there are several condominium communities in Newcastle, condos for sale can be a bit scarce.  Pending sales range from list price of $199,000 to over $730,000, so you can see that there is quite a range, when available, suitable for all buyers.  Lake Boren is a popular location with newer construction, generally ranging from 1,900 to 2,400 square feet encompassing 3-5 bedrooms and up to 3.5 baths.  From roughly $644,900 to $734,900, Lake Boren condos feature 9’ ceilings, expansive windows, hardwood flooring, carpet, quartz counters and stainless appliances and attached garage.  Other communities, some built in the early 2000’s, have units under 2,000 square feet that are move-in ready with elements like hardwood, newer carpet, master with ensuite, gas fireplace and garage or designated parking. One, two and three bedroom condos have sold at Parterra At Newcastle, with selling prices ranging from the mid $200,000s up to over $400,000. Square footage for these condos start at 980 for a one bedroom, to close to 1,500 square feet for a three bedroom residence.

Luxury Homes in Newcastle

The price point for listings for luxury homes in Newcastle is typically from just over $1 million to just under $3 million.  Routinely, these homes are less than 20 years old and built in a Northwest contemporary style, some Traditional, typically 2-story models with finished basements. Some of these luxury estate homes, particularly in areas such as China Creek or overlooking the Golf Club at Newcastle, offer magnificent, sweeping views of the golf course, Lake Washington, the city lights of Bellevue, or Mercer Island.  In these spacious, often custom, homes you might expect to find square footage from 3,000 upwards of 7,000 square feet or more, high end features like soaring ceilings, fireplace, hardwood flooring, gourmet kitchens,  home theaters and bonus space for office, gym or playroom.  Lake Washington Ridge, for example, includes homes built from about 2005 through 2010 with four or five bedrooms and up to 5.5 baths in a range starting around $875,000.  Another popular subdivision, the aforementioned China Creek, has traditional or Northwest contemporary homes, mostly 2-story with basement, that are very well appointed with high end finishes and features, from 3,800 square feet to over 5,500 square feet with typically five bedrooms and up to 5 bathrooms.
